Qualification levels of ev high-voltage competences

Classification according DGUV I 209-093 & ISO 6469-3 for both S levels (workshops) and E levels (development & production)

iP: Instructed person for (ev) high voltage

(Level 1S / Level 1E DGUV I 209-093, ISO 6469-3)

Non-electrical work, such as changing wheels, bodywork, working as a test driver, working on the 12 V electrical system, replacing intrinsically safe high-voltage components in a HV (ev) disconnected state under the guidance and supervision of a SHV or ES.

SHV: Specialist high voltage (EV)

(Level 2S / Level 2E DGUV I 209-093, ISO 6469-3)

Electrical work on and with high-voltage components and systems in a voltage-free state; including disconnecting and reconnecting (ev) high voltage systems, technical supervision for iP and lay persons.

LLW: Live line work on (EV) high voltage systems

(Level 3S / Level 3E DGUV I 209-093, ISO 6469-3)

Additional qualification for SHV for live line work on high-voltage components and systems, if required. This includes troubleshooting under live conditions or working on open traction batteries.
